A typical visit begins with completing paperwork. Please bring a list of all the medications (over-the-counter and prescription) that you regularly take or have taken within the past month. Note: If you would like to expedite the paperwork process, please contact our office. Our team will gladly send you a secure link to fill out the information online ahead of time. Security is of utmost important to us, so this link requires a password and is HIPAA compliant.  

Your visit will begin with an important pre-treatment evaluation with the assistant and doctor. This will include a focused oral examination and radiograph to evaluate the area more thoroughly. Following examination, the diagnosis, treatment options, alternatives, prognosis, risks, benefits, and costs will be explained to you. If treatment is indicated and you are scheduled to receive treatment, the procedure may start immediately. If you are appointed for a consultation, treatment will be scheduled at a later date. 

Before treatment begins, you will receive local anesthesia to numb any sensations you may feel during the procedure. A small shield will be placed over the tooth to keep the tooth dry and clean. With modern techniques and anesthetics most patients report that they are comfortable during the procedure.  

After treatment is complete, you will usually return to your dentist, who will place a crown or other restoration on the tooth to protect and restore it to full function. After restoration, the tooth continues to function like any other tooth.
